2027 Safety Breakfast
2027 Safety Breakfast
Tuesday, February 2, 2027 (7:30 AM - 10:00 AM) (EST)
Description
Join ABC Western Michigan for our Annual Safety Breakfast featuring Derek Daly, former Formula One and Indy 500 driver, author, and motorsports analyst, for a compelling look at safety, personal responsibility, and high performance.
Drawing on his racing career and his experience surviving a near-fatal crash, Derek brings a powerful perspective on working in environments where decisions carry serious consequences. Through stories from professional motorsports, he will explore how teams can balance the pressure to perform with the responsibility to protect their people.
For construction leaders facing demanding schedules, workforce challenges, and daily jobsite risks, Derek’s message reinforces that policies and procedures are only part of the equation. A strong safety culture depends on people who recognize risk, speak up, communicate clearly, and take ownership of their decisions.
Company owners, executives, safety professionals, project managers, superintendents, and field leaders will leave with a renewed focus on three essential ideas:
- Safety requires personal ownership beyond compliance.
- Strong safety practices support high performance.
- Leaders at every level influence the safety culture around them.
Enjoy breakfast and networking before the presentation, then stay for a meet and greet with Derek to ask questions, take photos, and get autographs.
